Hello dear UO enthusiasts,
I have a question about whether there is a difference in the map data when I move the map files and statics0.mul from a POL server to ServUO.

After migrating, I am falling through the map in many places into basements or sewers, as if all statics are shifted or triggering incorrectly. It feels like the static tiles are misaligned with the map.

I can’t explain why my character suddenly falls through certain parts of the ground, even though those areas should be solid. It looks as if the statics data does not match the map anymore after the move.
However, the map itself looks completely correct. Houses and buildings are displayed normally and appear to be in the right positions.

Best regards

I will test the recommended patch over the weekend.

Is it possible to migrate an old map and apply this fix to it, or alternatively copy UO Fiddler map sections into an OSI map from version 7.0.109.0? I won’t use one old map and the other original maps, or a custom map.
I have Old Client 5.0.6d map. I have migrate to Client 7.0.109.0. Then i set ServUO to the new client, with the Map from 5.0.6d ,in UOP Format.

yes you can but in order to do the migration you would have to do a copy of that map on to a newer map file for said client once you start mixing and matching client files from different client version you run into issues example falling through the map walking into stopping spots of objects that are not their and many other issues but if you use uo fiddler you can easily and quickly copy that old map section over top the newer map sections but always use the most current client files for your clients patch never mix and match files trust me i learned the hard way years ago when trying to do this and it was always a failure.

I attached a pdf made by @MrRiots who explains how to do this with super easy steps to follow and honestly cant go wrong with his guide as it is really well done.

But you can copy a map section over any map that you want honestly and use all the other maps just how you want to your options are really endless tbh you are just limited on how many maps you can use and map sizes as well, thats the sad truth and i think the max is 6 total but you can have duplicates of those maps as many times as you want this article goes into detail about how to do that if it peaks your curiosity.

Good luck on your mission post your results many are here to help where we can!
