Hello everyone
I'm sorry if this kind of post is frequent. I honestly didnt know how to look for this problem since all the other sources couldnt help me.
As you can imagine Im very new to this. Since Ive got a bit of free time I decided to dig a bit into Ultima and creating a shard, learn how to code.. but Im already struggling
I setup a ServUO server, it was very easy and straightforward, but Im stuck with the client.
I downloaded UO client, the classic one, but seems to always try to connect to EA servers.
Ive found an old video on YouTube talking about UO encrypter, but when I try to use it (putting it in the same folder as client.exe) it gives me an error and doesnt work. So I tried to put client.exe and UO encrypter in another folder and it works, it gives me an encrypted client, but that too gives me a weird error.
I spent my afternoon trying to solve this, uninstalled UO and patched it again, tried ClassicUO but just gives me another kind of error, so thats how i ended here. Hope you guys can help me. Thanks
Edit: I know that the server works since I did some weird stuff and connected with that server using the files of another shard Im in. had to leave because I couldnt walk? I could teleport around but seemed like I was blocked by invisible walls. Anyway, I know the problem is client side
Edit 2: I tried a lot of stuff, but in every video Ive seen the client just connected to the server without any extra step or manipulation, so I really dont know what to do
My data path is correct, I even found an old post that made me change the path in scripts\misc
