This update came out of testing the new ClassicUO-focused interface and segmented posting system in actual use.
There were a couple of issues that only became obvious once real threads were being created and edited, so this release focuses on fixing those while keeping the visual improvements from the previous build.
Visual changes carried forward and refined:
- Cleaner top navigation with stronger active-tab highlighting.
- Improved sidebar section styling and selected-item visibility.
- Better spacing between forum sections and category headings.
- Cleaner forum row layout with better separation between boards.
- Thread and post counts are now presented in clearer columns.
- Last-post information has more room and is easier to read.
- Thread lists have improved alignment for author, replies, views, and staff controls.
- Unread threads have stronger visual highlighting.
- Pinned threads and announcements are easier to distinguish at a glance.
- Deleted and staff-related states have clearer warning colors.
- The overall ClassicUO/TazUO interface is more compact, organized, and easier to scan.
Segment and posting fixes:
- Post segments are now permanently stored with each post.
- Stitching settings are stored with each individual segment.
- Creating a thread now preserves the original segment layout.
- Replies now preserve their segment layout.
- Editing a post correctly restores all of its original segments.
- Editing and saving again keeps the same segment order and stitching settings.
- Fixed an issue where later segments could appear to be missing when viewing a post.
- Longer posts can now scroll correctly instead of clipping content near the bottom.
- Existing posts from older versions are automatically converted as safely as possible.
- Existing paragraph breaks are used to recover older segment layouts where possible.
- The forum integrity checker can now detect and repair damaged or mismatched segment data.
- Stitching only works between directly adjacent segments, so a segment can never skip over another segment to join one farther away.
For example:
Segment A - Stitching ON
Segment B - Stitching OFF
Segment C - Stitching ON
A and C remain separate because Segment B breaks the connection between them.
ClassicUO remains the primary supported client, with TazUO using the same modern Classic client interface. The official UO client is still available as a fallback compatibility mode.
